The IORK New Zealand Rental Go Kart Championships returns to Nelson for 2026 — and this year it is a one-off national championship event.
No regional rounds.
No series points.
No drop rounds.
Just one epic championship weekend where New Zealand’s best rental go-kart drivers go head-to-head for national titles.
If you have ever wanted to test yourself against the best, this is your chance.
Event Dates
15 – 18 October 2026
Location: Pro Karts, Nelson, New Zealand
Racing will take place day and night, rain or shine.
⚖️ Championship Categories
Drivers compete in one or more of the following weight divisions:
Under 69.9 kg
70 – 84.9 kg
85 – 99.9 kg
100 kg and over
18 Years and Under
✔ Drivers may enter multiple categories if eligible.
✔ Minimum weights will be enforced.
✔ Ballast vests may be used where required.
Each category crowns its own 2026 New Zealand Champion.

$299 per driver

Every driver receives serious track time and a true championship experience.
Qualifying Heats
6 qualifying heats per driver
8 minutes per heat
Points awarded from 64 for 1st down to 30 for 16th
